Reviews

While I love reading reviews of the books I like, I prefer to read the reviews after the book. Because id like to face the story without the veil of bias and recognize the intent of the writer. I love to experience the book. While some book reviews are enlightening, some are discouraging both to the writer and the reader. So pick a book. Read it nevertheless and discover it for yourself then give your review. Books are treasures. Dig in! Here are some books I read recently and I think you'll love them too: The five people you meet in heaven by Mitch Albom The man called ove by Fredrik Backman The fountainhead by Ayn Rand Do well to check them out.

Bitter Is the New Black: Confessions of a Condescending, Egomaniacal, Self-Centered Smartass, Or, Why You Should Never Carry A Prada Bag to the Unemployment Office by Jen Lancaster

This book will be more appreciated when you're like me (a graduate in need of a job and money). And whilst you're in search of a well-paying job, you already have shopping ideas, boutiques you've made a mental note of to stop by when you have money and don't forget the beauty salons and spa treatments. Well, the writer started as an impulsive buyer, who gets whatever she wanted. Then suddenly she was unemployed. She fell off the social ladder. And had to make several decisions to be financially stable again. I don't want to give too much but in the end, we'll learn that: 1. When you have a source of livelihood, create and stick to a saving plan, side hustle, or investment. 2. There's a need to shop for what is essential. When next you see something in the boutique, ask yourself if you need it.  3. If you're just starting, consider purchasing your apartment in a suburban area instead of spending lots of money on rents in the city (if you can).

Uncertainty

Well, I woke up today with a feeling of uncertainty. Everyone's got a plan of where they want to be. But these plans are clouded with fear and uncertainty. But this word from Psalm 32: 8 comes to mind. It reads " The   Lord   says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.   I will advise you and watch over you." (NLT) So rest my friend on the assurance that the Lord of Host is working on your behalf. Cheers!

Hello

So the first time wrote on this blog was in my 2nd year at the university. I had doubts  I would succeed but guess what? I did! I not only graduated from my course of choice but also as one of the top students in class.  My study was plagued by numerous strike actions, and finally the Pandemic! Yes,  I survived that too. So today I write you as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Finally! I look forward to celebrating you, my friend. Keep on the fight to do better.

Hero

Demand for the best Not a drop less Do not live in dread The monster you see Is a facade A misinterpreted view That's a high mountain Which you were supposed to climb With each step leading you  To your zenith But all you see is the monstrous shadow Step out Delve in Ah ha Cry out at your first fall And every now and then If you wish You can afford a bruise or two But let every fall draw you close Be the hero.

Cliché..

I took a walk heading towards your house But I refrained my steps just at the entry Tried to dial your number But stopped myself mid way. I slide into your social media page Saw your pictures  Your perfect smile Then I left without replying your DM How do you understand? A little bit of low and high.
